Chin Enhancement

What is a cheek enhancement

A cheek enhancement is great for improving an individuals bone structure or for those who have lost mid-face volume due to ageing. This procedure is highly effective for defining the contours of the cheeks, correcting volume loss and softening the look of deep creases that develop from this volume loss, such as the nasolabial folds. An additional benefit of this treatment is that it creates a natural shadow below the cheekbones, making the face appear slimmer.

How does it work?

Your Aesthetics Practitioner will first discuss your requirements and explain the process thoroughly. Upon beginning the treatment we apply an anaesthetic cream to numb the area, ensuring the procedure is comfortable. The filler itself also contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent, to help minimise any discomfort.
he fillers will then be injected through various points and massaged to achieve the look you desire. We only use premium branded, high quality dermal fillers made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a liquid gel-like, water holding molecule that is temporary and also naturally present in our skin.

Is a cheek enhancement suitable for me?

A cheek enhancement is suitable for anyone over 18, who wishes to improve the appearance of their bone structure or for those who have lost mid-face volume due to ageing. This procedure is highly effective for defining the contours of the cheeks, correcting volume loss and softening the look of deep creases that develop from this volume loss, such as the nasolabial folds.
Younger clientele who have not yet lost mid-face volume, but want to enhance their cheeks due to their genetic bone structure, can use cheek fillers to contour and slim the face. With mature clients, the curvature that was once present in the cheeks begin to flatten, fillers can be used to restore the shape in this area, bringing a soft youthful look to the face.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the treatment area to ensure the procedure is comfortable, you’ll feel a little prick and slight pressure. The filler itself also contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent, to help minimise discomfort.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

The fillers we use are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a water holding molecule. For the best results it is beneficial to be well hydrated prior to the treatment.
7 Days Prior: If you are taking any blood thinning medication then ideally these should be stopped several days before the procedure, only with your doctors consent. Thinner blood will make the area more prone to bruising and bleeding.
3 Days Prior: Avoid any aggressive facial treatments, such as AHA peels. These activities increase blood flow to your face, which can only add to the swelling.
24 Hours Prior: Avoid alcohol before your treatment, alcohol in your system heightens the chance of swelling and bruising.
