Dermal Filler Stoke on Trent Jaw Enhancement

Jaw
Enhancement

What is a jaw enhancement?

Our jawline enhancement provides definition and shape to the jawline. Depending on your age, gender and personal preferences, a jaw enhancement can increase the width and height of the jawline, fill in lines or folds and for men it can produce a strong, well defined and chiseled jaw. An additional benefit of this treatment is that it creates a natural contour, making the face seem slimmer whilst reducing the appearance of a doubled chin.

How much filler do I need?

How much product (ml) you require varies person by person. Generally, to achieve a noticeable but natural difference we would recommend starting with;
Women: 2ml, Men: 4ml
During your appointment, our Aesthetics Practitioner will analyse your features and advise the required product (ml) to use to achieve the results you want and to best suit your face shape. You can always increase the amount of product (ml) on the day of your treatment, if feel you require more. Dermal fillers can be ‘layered’ over time to achieve your desired look

Is jaw enhancement treatment suitable for me?

Dermal fillers can be injected along the jawline to create the perfect ratio between the nose, lips, chin and jaw. A jawline enhancement can do the following;
• Strengthen a weak jaw
• Increase the height/length/width of the jaw
• Reduce the appearance of a double chin
• Correct an uneven jawline
• Add definition
• Create a chiseled look (for men)
• Add structure to the face
• Fill wrinkles or folds
• Give the appearance of a slimmer face
The shape of your jaw will be designed in a way that suits your individual profile and your requirements.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the treatment area to ensure the procedure is comfortable, you’ll feel a little prick and slight pressure. The filler itself also contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent, to help minimise discomfort.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

The fillers we use are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a water holding molecule. For the best results it is beneficial to be well hydrated prior to the treatment.
7 Days Prior: If you are taking any blood thinning medication then ideally these should be stopped several days before the procedure, only with your doctors consent. Thinner blood will make the area more prone to bruising and bleeding.
3 Days Prior: Avoid any aggressive facial treatments, such as AHA peels. These activities increase blood flow to your face, which can only add to the swelling.
24 Hours Prior: Avoid alcohol before your treatment, alcohol in your system heightens the chance of swelling and bruising.

What to expect during treatment.

Your Aesthetics Practitioner will first discuss your requirements and explain the process thoroughly. Upon beginning the treatment we apply an anaesthetic cream to numb the area, ensuring the procedure is comfortable. The filler itself also contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent, to help minimise any discomfort.
The fillers will then be injected through various points and massaged to achieve the look you desire. We only use premium branded, high quality dermal fillers made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a liquid gel-like, water holding molecule that is temporary and also naturally present in our skin.

Aftercare

Once your treatment is over you will be given written post treatment instructions and advised to keep the area clean and free of makeup for 12 hours. You will be encouraged to contact the clinic if you have any concerns following treatment and will be offered a complimentary review appointment if deemed necessary.
